Fall Interior Trends

Our Designers Weigh in on What They’re Seeing this Autumn

What's resonating with your clients?

Clients are gravitating toward spaces that feel curated and personal. They love when rooms reflect their personality rather than relying on neutral, copy-paste designs. Homeowners are drawn to bold, textured materials, mixing striking stone, playful tile patterns, and treasured vintage discoveries. We are also finding that our clients are loving larger-scale art and creative placement rather than gallery walls. Details like patterned lampshades and layered textures, are also top favorites. Ultimately, clients want homes that are cozy, inviting, and distinctly their own.

Give us your top recommendations for homeowners looking to refresh their spaces.

  1. Embrace rich color and texture through fabrics, furniture, and finishes.

  2. Mix in vintage or found pieces to add character and storytelling (a great way to make your home feel curated for less sometimes)

  3. Invest in high-impact materials like unique stone, tile, or rich woods.

  4. Experiment with art placement—think larger scales and unexpected locations.

  5. Make rooms cozy and personal; move away from ultra-neutral, copy-paste spaces.

Which fall trends are you seeing/embracing?

As spaces shift from wide-open plans to more intimate, defined rooms, we are embracing warmth, personality, and rich materials. Deep, saturated hues are replacing all-white or neutral palettes, while details like contrast piping on sofas and playful patterned textiles bring personality and subtle sophistication. Mosaic tile floors, colored porcelain sinks and tubs, and rich walnut finishes are making a comeback, providing texture and visual interest.

How are you implementing these looks?

We encourage playful patterning in tile layouts, incorporate richer fabrics instead of neutral or boucle upholstery, and layer lighting to enhance both function and ambiance. Each room is designed to have its own character, often blending modern furniture with antique or found pieces to achieve a curated, timeless feel. We often source unique pieces at Round Top, the legendary Texas antiques and vintage market, which allows us to bring one-of-a-kind character and personality into our designs.
