Designer I
Britt Design Group, an award winning interior design firm based in Austin, TX, is seeking candidates for a Designer I position within the Residential Design Studio.

This is an entry-level position reporting to the Director of the Residential Design Studio, supporting our residential design team through all phases of interior design projects. This role is ideal for a motivated, detail-oriented designer at the beginning of their career who is passionate about creating elevated, livable spaces and eager to grow within a collaborative team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist with design development including concept boards, finish palettes, and material selections
Support the preparation of client presentations and visual storytelling
Source furniture, finishes, lighting, and accessories aligned with the design vision and client needs
Create and revise drawings, elevations, and schedules using AutoCAD (Revit a plus)
Assist with pricing, vendor outreach, and procurement tracking
Maintain organized project documentation and sample libraries
Support installations and site visits, including styling for photoshoots and walkthroughs
Attend team meetings and assist with follow-up tasks and coordination
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or a related field
0–2 years of professional experience in residential interior design (internships welcome)
Proficiency in Revit and Lumion and/or Enscape, Microsoft Office and Google Suite are strongly preferred. Knowledge of Photoshop, AutoCAD, or other creative/design software is a plus.
Strong eye for detail, materials, and spatial planning
Excellent organizational skills and a proactive, team-first mindset
Strong communication skills and ability to take direction
Schedule, Work Location, and Benefits
This is a full-time, 40-hour-a-week position, requiring residency in the greater Austin, TX area. Office presence is required for a minimum of 4 days a week, with other days allowing work-from-home and periodic remote work outside the region. Client schedules and unforeseen meeting changes may necessitate flexibility in the week-to-week schedule.
