Britt Design Group, an award winning  interior design firm based in Austin, TX, is seeking candidates for a Designer I position within the Residential Design Studio.

This is an entry-level position reporting to the Director of the Residential Design Studio, supporting our residential design team through all phases of interior design projects. This role is ideal for a motivated, detail-oriented designer at the beginning of their career who is passionate about creating elevated, livable spaces and eager to grow within a collaborative team.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with design development including concept boards, finish palettes, and material selections

  • Support the preparation of client presentations and visual storytelling

  • Source furniture, finishes, lighting, and accessories aligned with the design vision and client needs

  • Create and revise drawings, elevations, and schedules using AutoCAD (Revit a plus)

  • Assist with pricing, vendor outreach, and procurement tracking

  • Maintain organized project documentation and sample libraries

  • Support installations and site visits, including styling for photoshoots and walkthroughs

  • Attend team meetings and assist with follow-up tasks and coordination

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or a related field

  • 0–2 years of professional experience in residential interior design (internships welcome)

  • Proficiency in Revit and Lumion and/or Enscape, Microsoft Office and Google Suite are strongly preferred.  Knowledge of Photoshop, AutoCAD, or other creative/design software is a plus.

  • Strong eye for detail, materials, and spatial planning

  • Excellent organizational skills and a proactive, team-first mindset

  • Strong communication skills and ability to take direction

Schedule, Work Location, and Benefits

  • This is a full-time, 40-hour-a-week position, requiring residency in the greater Austin, TX area. Office presence is required for a minimum of 4 days a week, with other days allowing work-from-home and periodic remote work outside the region. Client schedules and unforeseen meeting changes may necessitate flexibility in the week-to-week schedule.
