Airy Mountain Retreat in Aspen Heights

Nestled in breathtaking Aspen Heights of Telluride, a beautiful mountain home received a stunning update. An Austin entrepreneur and his wife sought their dream family retreat in their favorite getaway destination. BDG was entrusted with the task of transforming the home into an inviting and airy mountain lodge, perfect for accommodating large group gatherings and culinary adventures.

The original layout of the home felt closed off and dark, with an overpowering and dramatic color palette.

The design team's vision was to create an expansive and light-filled space, harmonizing with the surrounding treescape and mountain vistas. Super neutrals, along with blue and green tones, were chosen to complement the natural beauty of the environment.

The kitchen underwent a significant transformation to become a chef's kitchen, requiring careful planning and demolition.
